"Food was mediocre, nothing to write home about. My ribeye was cooked as requested but had zero seasonings & flavor. Omlette was bland. The bacon in the omlette had old taste,like going bad. I've had bacon taste like this in several places over the years at various restaurants. The staff was all nice, the few locals were very friendly. Most likely, I will try different places on my next few trips through there. Road construction brought me through this area."

"This place is great! A really nice local spot for a great price. I have a usual plate I order: Sausage and cheese Omelet, with mushrooms, hash browns, and toast. Delicious and excellent coffee. The restaurant takes cash only, so bring some or there is an ATM on site. I hope you come over and try it out!"

"Been here several times so ready for review. Was in Montello over the summer and tried many area restaurants. Sparks Grill is hands down the best breakfast in the county. First, tried Sparks Omelette its fantastic with Italian sausage inside & marinara sauce with Giardiniera on top, I like spicy! Second visit, Homemade Corned Beef hash with onions & horseradish sauce on the side, best corned beef around, not the sliced or can version everywhere else. Next trip on Sunday morning, very busy but fun to watch the place in action, as you can watch the food being cooked near the counter. Tried Ham, mushroom, asparagus omelette special with hash browns and toast. Delicious I could barley finish it all. Lastly, tried the Friday Fish Fry 3-6PM choice was haddock, perch, walleye, I tried Blue Gills with steak fries, slaw & rye toast, excellent fish lightly breaded and came out hot & crispy. Clean friendly diner with helpful staff, some tables even have charging stations for your phone, huge parking lot for cars, trucks and trailers. Will be back next time I am in the area!"

"Typical diner atmosphere. We unfortunately stopped when a family had a screaming child nearby. Tables arriving after us received their food first. Wait staff was attentive & friendly. Food was OK but we've had better at other diners. Fair price. No cards accepted here."

"We came for breakfast from out of town. The menu is large and it's got a large space for seating many. Great food nice dinner counter to sit at also. Very friendly staff and seems to be a popular local spot to eat. Again also very nice people. The food its self was cooked and delivered in moments of one another. Making a great fresh hot food to order."

"Stopped by for breakfast today while everyone else was closed on Labor Day. What a pleasant surprise! The corned beef hash was delicious. It had big chunks of corned beef that made the dish very hearty and satisfying."
